Sadly my interactions with Bob The Skutter have been all too few, mostly in one particular thread at TrekBBS, so I didn't know him as well as others did and mostly because of lurking in that thread rather than direct conversation with him, but I do know Kathy from when I first joined the board. Kev was an amazing man, mixing humour in with seriousness in just the right measure. He had a way of getting his point across without overdoing it or making one uncertain of his intentions that we should all aspire to. He recognised that life is a battle we all must lose eventually, and decided to make other people's battles a little easier, whilst coping with difficulties many of us could never face down. He was, in short, one of the best human beings. We will all miss him.
