The anniversary date isn't for a few days, but for me Sunday will always be the day I lost you, even though you technically left us in the early hours of Monday. They took you into theatre at 6pm, and I never saw you again. I remember telling you I love you, and that I will see you again. There are days when that promise is all that gets me through the day. I miss you so much. I'm glad you didn't have to live through the horrors of what's happening now, you would have hated it. But for me, I miss you so, so much.
And I WILL see you again.
