Unfortunately I had very few interactions with Bob. I always made a point of reading his posts when I came across them, anywhere on Trek BBS, regardless of the subject. They stood out from the crowd. They were worth reading properly. Always erudite, informative, thoughtful, insightful. Frequently funny. Clever, in the best sense of that word - he was never a smartarse, never a know-all, never talked down to people. Just witty and smart and genuine. And kind. There was always concern for others, even when his own health was giving him grief. His presence made an online community a much better place and his absence will be keenly felt. I am heartbroken for both Bob and RevdK that he is gone, and for his family and everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Requiescat in pace, Bob. - Sue
